2004-10-31 `World Refuge Charity Concert' and `Exhibition of UNHCR's World Refuge Panels'

Activity

On October 31, 2004, SIFA sponsored a World Refuge Charity Concert by Klavierquintette Wien (Vienna Piano Quintet) with Yoko Fog on piano, Peter Wachter on violin, Helmut Weiss on viola, Jorgen Fog on cello and Manfred Hecking on contrabass) in commemoration of the Sayama City's 50th Anniversary. In addition to great music, the world refuge panels provided by UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) were also displayed in the foyer. Many SIFA members worked very hard, which resulted in a great success. Everyone immensely enjoyed the quintet's impressive performance including Schubert's Trout Quintet in the main auditorium of the Sayama Citizen Hall.
